News from Tenga Rinpoche (Sept. 10, 2011)

On August 31, 2011 Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche arrived in Singapore for medical treatment.

The following day Tenga Rinpoche had an appointment with the doctor. The doctor decided to immediately take off the top of Rinpoche's middle finger because of a bad infection.

The operation was performed with local anesthesia. During the operation it turned out that the blood vessels were completely blocked. However, Rinpoche's blood circulation of the outer skin is amazingly good, in fact the doctors had never seen like this before. Therefore the healing chance is about fifty percent which will show during the next two to three weeks.

If this does not help two more finger joints have to be removed until the bottom of the middle finger. The healing chance then is very high.

On September 13 there will be a further checkup because of the big toe of Rinpoche's left foot which is infected, too. We will keep you informed.

Friday September 9 Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche arrived in Singapore. Both Rinpoches enjoyed lunch together in the new center in Singapore. Tenga Rinpoche decided to stay in Singapore until the doctor will declares that he can return to Kathmandu.

Rinpoche is sending you all many Tashi Delegs and tells you not to worry. He is in very good mood and wants you to know that everything is fine.
