The arrival of Tenga Rinpoche's Yangsi at Benchen Monastery Swayambhu

Just after 10am on Tuesday 9th May 2017, Yangsi Rinpoche was received at Benchen monastery by lines of joyful monks and devotees holding kataks. Yangsi Rinpoche waswelcomed by H.E. Sangy Nyenpa Rinpoche at the main entrance to the shrine hall in the traditional way by touching of foreheads.
The welcoming crowed then moved into the shrine hall to join H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, Sangter Tulke Rinpoche, Drupon, Lonpon, Khenpos and the rest of the Benchen Community.
Khenpo Gawang gave an address to the gathering. Khenpo La was appointed by H.H Gyalwa Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje, to lead the search team for Yangsi Rinpoche. In his address, he explained the entire procedure from the start, through the middle process to the final discovery. He concluded by stating that everything proceeded in a most auspicious way. On behalf of Benchen Monastery, the General Secretatry, Tempa Yarphel, and Junior General Secretary, Tashi Oser, offered Khenpo La a khatak and token of the Monasterie's appreciation.

H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche then thanked Khenpo Gawang for conducting this task and offered him a token of appreciation in gratitude for his great effort and dedication in finding Yangsi Rinpoche.  
The speeches of H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and Khenpo Gawang will be translated and made available at a latter date.
H.E.Sangye Nyenp Rinpoche then went on to say that there is no way to thank HH Gyalwa Karmapa by any means that are equal to his great kindness, never the less in a few days' time the monks from both Benchen Monastery and Shedra, will perform a Tsedrub Sangwa Duepa for one week. This is a special long life puja and will be dedicated in gratitude to the long life and activity of His Holiness.
The monastic community then performed the Sixteen Arhat puja and H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche carried out the purification ritual ceremony (Truesol) according to the advice of H. H. Karmapa. According to Tibetan tradition for such an auspicious occasion, tea and saffron sweet rice were offered to all those present.
Following this, a Long-Life Mandala offering was made to Yangsi Rinpoche by Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche. Then the traditional Body, Speech and Mind offering was made by Tempa Yarpal, Tashi Oser and Dorje Lopon. During the proceedings, a rainbow around the sun was seen, which is considered to be a very auspicious sign.
The ceremony concluded with Tashi prayers of auspiciousness.
Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, Yangsi Rinpoche and his parents proceeded to the apartment of the former Kyabgye Tenga Rinpoche for lunch together. H.E.Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche gave  presents to Yangsi Rinpoche and his parents at this time and many photographs were taken.
All those attending were offered lunch by the Benchen Monastery.
