News from Tenga Rinpoche (Feb. 24, 2012)

Losar, Februar 22
This year our monastery had a very nice and big Mahakala statue for blessing the audience of the lama dance which is about one story tall. The statue was constructed mainly under Lama Sherap's creative guidance with the help of our genius monks. They built a wonderful Mahakala statue according to Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche's wishes.

On Feb. 19 Rinpoche could manage to come down to the main Lhakhang to bless the new statue. On Feb. 22, on the Tibetan New Year day in the morning 6:00 Tenga Rinpoche joined the Losar ceremony and stayed 45 min.

Rinpoche had tea and auspicious rice.MahakalaThe amazing part: during that time Rinpoche looked so good, just as normal, smiling, not even slight nausea, talking to the Dorje Lopon. For me it is hard to believe it is the same person. That kind of things Rinpoche does from time to time. When Rinpoche came back to his room then he turned into the same sick person as before and laying down only sitting up from time to time. Generally Rinpoche's health today was slightly better than yesterday. Definitely Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche is not able to join the Kagyu Monlam this time.
This morning Kyabje Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche called Tenga Rinpoche from Bhutan, had a conversation and mutual greetings.

So, that's all news from Benchen Nepal. Namaste and many Tashi Deleks from Tempa

Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche came to visit Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche for new year greeting and wishing well for Rinpoche's health. It was very nice and Tenga Rinpoche felt very happy.
Yesterday Rinpoche had nausea only one time in the evening. Today Rinpoche became better slightly and didn't have any nausea. Hopefully Rinpoche will keep on getting better.
Thats all for now.

Namaste and Tashi Delek
