While performing the Tseringma Drubchen in Bodhgaya, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa had some very clear visions concerning the rebirth of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche. His Holiness wrote down the indications that appeared to him in a recognition letter, which he handed over to Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche on February 24, 10.45 am in Bodhgaya.
As witness the entire Benchen administration was present.
According to the recognition letter, His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa, conjointly with Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, appointed an exploration team to search for the reincarnation of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche.
Chagdzö Tempa Yarphel, junior Chagdzö Tashi Özer, Khenpo Özung and Dorje Lopön Tsültrim Rapten, all from Benchen Monastery, were appointed for this assignment.
In addition His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa appointed Khenpo Gawang, representative from Tsurpu Labrang, as head of the exploration team.
Upon completion of the shapdens (long life pujas) recommended by his His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa, we will update you on any news gradually.
On March 21 to 23 His Holiness preceded an elaborate three days long Tseringma drubchen for the benefit of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche’s reincarnation. The group photos attached were taken at the end of the pujas.
April 1, Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal. Rinpoche will reside in Pharping for a while, doing retreat as well as teaching the monks in the shedra.
