Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche finished the Prajnaparamita Lung Friday 13th April. In the afternoon Rinpoche gave the long life initiation. More than 5000 people came, most of them locals. We counted the longlife-substance pills that were given out and were all surprised how these people knew. Anyway it was very nice.
This morning, April 15th, at 8:35, lead by Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and Sangtrul Rinpoche, Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche's kudung was moved from the Tara shrine to the big Maitreya shrine-hall.
HH Karmapa gave the instructions concerning which pujas to perform at the Benchen Monastery each week for seven weeks.
1st week was 16th Karmapa's Guru Yoga puja
2nd week was Red Chenrezig puja
now, 3rd week Amitaba Opame puja
4th week will be Mithugpa puja
5th week Pema Bendza puja
6th week Zhitro puja
Now I am awaiting HH Karmapa's instructions on which puja to perform on the 7th week and which four direction fire offering puja to perform during the cremation.
Here in our monastery the lamas and monks perform pujas for Tenga Rinpoche's passing and in the evenings at 6:30 everybody can join to perform "calling the lama from afar". Besides these pujas people can also visit Rinpoche's kudung until the cremation.
