Benchen Phuntsok Ling is a Buddhist Dharma center of His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and Very Venerable Tenga Rinpoche in Europe. It was Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche who chose the name "Benchen Phuntsok Ling" for this place to indicate the close connection to the Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling monastery in Kathmandu.

In a letter to his disciples from 1998 Tenga Rinpoche describes his vision of Benchen Phuntsok Ling:
"… this shall be a place for all of you where you can practice the Dharma, for some weeks, some months or any length of time. It has the goal of creating a permanent location for summer courses …"

Request for Long Life Mantras to offer His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje - completed

==> Congratulation, now 2,036,000 Dharanis were recited (September 14, 2019) ???  It took a long time to reach this goal. Many thanks to everybody who contributed and continually recited for all the months!

Dear Dharmafriends,

as you might know it was adviced by the great Nyingma master Kyabje Dodrubchen Rinpoche to accumulate recitations of the Dharani of the Essence of Dependent Arising for the activities and long life of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje.
Therefore His Holiness' sister, Jetsun Ngodup Palzom has invited all students, individuals, groups and centres to join in, and to accumulate recitations that will be said by them or their group over the next year (2016, the Tibetan year of the Fire Monkey) as an offering for the benefit of everyone. She is asking for a commitment from each individual or group who wishes to join in, meaning an accumulated number of recitations will be offered during the year by each individual or group.

The Sangha of Benchen Phuntsok Ling together with Dharmahaus Benchen Tashi Ling will accumulate 2,000,000 of the Dharanis for His Holiness activities and Long life. The accumulation will start on Losar February 8, 2016 and go on for one year.

25 years Benchen Phuntsok Ling - 25 new sponsors are needed

108 Jewels

The 25th anniversary of Benchen Phuntsok Ling is approaching. We would therefore like to address you on our own behalf:

Benchen Phuntsok Ling is supported financially by many people.
This is not possible with the course fees alone.
But like everything else, this group of supporters is getting older every day...
So this year we are looking for 25 new people who would like to support the Dharma place Benchen Phuntsok Ling with a regular contribution of €10, €20 or €50. Even a small regular contribution helps!
The more shoulders on which this responsibility is shared, the more stable the continued existence of the meditation centre in Allmuthen will be.

If you would like to participate, please transfer your contribution to the following account:

Please sign and return the Your Support form to our office so that we can register you as a sponsor of Benchen Phuntsok Ling. You will receive an annual donation receipt.

Update: 28 new sponsors have already been found (27.08.2024) - wonderful! Thank you very much!

Retreats in 2024 -- Allmuthen

2024 the following five retreats will be offered in Europe Benchen Phuntsok Ling:

Milarepa

14 days of Individual Retreat (completed)
During the sessions everyone does their own practice, everything else is done in the group as in the other retreats.

14 days of Gönkar Practice (cancelled)
Prerequisite: Gönkar empowerment.
During the Gönkar Retreat the main focus will be to practice the visualisation of the creation phase (kyerim) and to recite mantras. The short puja text for daily practice will be taken for this purpose, instead of the long one used at the summer course.

General Information about the Retreats in Allmuthen by Lama Ngawang Tsultrim

Advice by Lama Ngawang Tsultrim as given in his letter from 2022.

"Dear Sangha,

mila2In the very beginning, on November 8, 1998, when Tenga Rinpoche decided to establish Benchen Phuntsok Ling, he wrote to his students:  The intention or goal of buying a center is that everyone who has time can do retreat there for a few weeks or months, and that it will be a permanent place for summer courses in the summer. In the further future, courses on general Buddhist teachings and personal practice are planned, which will include the gradual path of the four preliminary practices, the practice of the creation and completion stages of the yidam (Kyerim/Dzogrim), the six yogas of Naropa, and the path of Mahamudra.
By practicing Dharma there, it will be a place of extraordinary benefit to oneself and others.
