Benchen Phuntsok Ling is the European seat of His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and Very Venerable Tenga Rinpoche. It was Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche who choose the name "Benchen Phuntsok Ling" for this place to indicate the close connection to the Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling monastery in Kathmandu. In a letter to his disciples from 1998 Tenga Rinpoche describes his vision of Benchen Phuntsok Ling:
"… this shall be a place for all of you where you can practice the Dharma, for some weeks, some months or any length of time. It has the goal of creating a permanent location for summer courses …"

Accumulation of 10 Million Tara Mantras |
|
Like earlier this year again we will perform the recitation of 10,000,000 White Tara mantras for the long life of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche and for the spreading of Rinpoche's activity for the benefit of all sentient beings.
This time we will join the recitation of Tara mantras started by Benchen Karma Kamtsang Poland.
As Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche states: "You should practice White Tara for yourself and for your Guru. Some centers organize accumulations of many thousands of mantras. Every practitioner marks the number of the mantras he recited on a piece of paper. After accumulating 100 000 mantras he gives his list back to the center and the mantras are counted together. You should do that!" (cit. from: Feast of Joy - Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche's Jorney to Tibet 2005, DVD, published 2008 by One Shot Production)
Every student of Rinpoche is invited to join this recitation. Either the ten syllable root mantra or the longer White Tara mantra can be recited.
We will collect the amount of Tara mantras recited and regularly forward the total number to Benchen Karma Kamtsang Poland.
So far 1,158,772 Tara mantras have been recited (January 7, 2010).
