Venerable Tenga Rinpoche:

Visits in 2004

India

At the invitation of H.H. Karmapa, Tenga Rinpoche traveled to Gyuto Monastery in Dharamsala on the 8th of July. During his 7-week stay with His Holiness, Rinpoche was constantly inspired by the rain of blessings he received every day by seeing his face and hearing his words, and the blessing transmission of his mind through the practice of the four empowerments. Rinpoche repeatedly said that it was an inexpressible joy to be with His Holiness. During this time, Rinpoche offered whatever His Holiness wished to have from Rinpoche.

The retreat was supposed to be completed by the end of May 2005, but due to the addition of some more practices both Rinpoches decided to extend the retreat time to November 2005. The retreat is going very well, through the guidance and blessings of our Precious Gurus. All the retreatants are healthy and happy.

On the morning of 10th September Tenga Rinpoche, together with 25 monks, went to Pharping, where they performed Tashi So Jong, sang (incense offering), and a ground-breaking ceremony. As they were chanting the auspicious verses, H.H. Karmapa's dream flag was raised high in the sky. In the afternoon, the ceremony was concluded with a Mahakala puja. Construction has already begun, and it is expected that it will take about 1 1/2 years to complete.
