Spring Course 2004
Ven. Tenga Rinpoche with the spring course participants
This year Venerable Tenga Rinpoche gave a teaching on The Five Parts of Mahamudra (Chakchen Ngaden) by Drigung Kyobpa Jikten Sumgön, who was a great Master of the Drigung Kagyu Lineage. The teaching was given in such a way that people could listen and practice together with Rinpoche. People find this a very effective method as they are in the presence of a living Master. During the course, participants made a short pilgrimage to Pharping, where they made offerings of butter lamps at the holy places of Yangle Shöd, the lower cave of Guru Rinpoche, where Guru Rinpoche had a direct vision of Vajra Kilaya, the Asura cave, where Guru Rinpoche achieved the realization of immortality, and the Self-Arisen Tara Temple.
The participants then went to the Benchen Clear Light Meditation Center where they practised meditation in Rinpoche's sitting room. The one-week course ended with a big feast offering with Milarepa Guru Yoga practice.
